Thank you SO MUCH for your patience...

...with the art-for-$25 project! Those of you still waiting to receive your pieces-you are not forgotten and are still on the list. I have been working on an installation project that is being installed this week and next week at d.e.n. contemporary art gallery.

Here are the details:

(nothing but) flowers
May 26-July 8, 2010
Reception: Thursday, May 26, 5-8:30

den contemporary art
Pacific Design Center (PDC)
8687 Melrose Avenue
Blue Building, 2nd Floor, #B261
West Hollywood, CA 90069

den contemporary is pleased to present in the project corridor (Nothing But) Flowers, an installation by Sophia Allison. Inspired by the organic environs of the artist's childhood home in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains and her present Los Angeles neighborhood, Sophia's sculptures and installations reference specific places and points in time, both physical and psychological.

The title of the installation project is taken from The Talking Heads' song of the same name. The lyrics ironically bemoan the disintegration of certain aspects of the world of retail and commerce, and its transition back to nature.
