Indivisible: Kristine Hatanaka's high school art class

I am pleased to present square number 86, a wonderful piece created by Esmeralda, another student in Kristine Hatanaka's art class from the Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts:

 Paint on canvas paper, 2017.

This image is another great illustration that the care of the earth is a job for all. We do share the same home. The weight and fate of the world is truly on EVERYONE'S shoulders.

Please keep sending your squares to the Indivisible Project.

Indivisible: Kristine Hatanaka's high school art class

I am pleased to present square number 84, a painting created by Sara, a student in Kristine Hatanaka's art class from the Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts:

Paint on canvas paper, 2017.

This piece makes me think of the many participants in the marches that have taken place around the world post the 2016 election - people lending their voices to the causes they support, calling out and protesting the terrible actions of our current leadership, and coming together to show their unity.

Please keep sending your squares to the Indivisible Project.

Indivisible: Kristine Hatanaka's high school art class

I am happy to present square number 83, a drawing created by Audreen, a student in Kristine Hatanaka's art class from the Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts:

Marker on paper, 2017.

I posted a similar image back on May 23 and am posting this one today, the day before July Fourth, our country's Independence Day.  As our country's political climate continues to erode, it's more important than ever that we pull together as a united people. What does that mean? It means being responsible for your own actions towards others. How do you demonstrate the good of humanity? How do you set examples that may help and inspire others to do the same?  We truly are in this country and on this earth as one group, all in this together.  Let's act like it.
