Indivisible: Moorpark College Art Students

I am pleased to present square number 108 created by art student Macgregor M. from Professor Erika Lizée's Gallery Practices class at Moorpark College:

Don't Be a ****..., acrylic markers and spray paint on foam core, 2018.
This work was shown at the Moorpark College Art Gallery this past April along with the existing Indivisible Project squares.

It is timely as this work is a reminder that one can state their thoughts and opinions without being crass, rude and dismissive of opposing parties.  Civil discourse is possible and desperately needed.  Otherwise, we are get nowhere fast.

About this work, Macgregor writes: "This piece represents decency by showing that you don't have to be mean about being polite.  Soft letters and bright colors contrast the message portrayed.  The deterioration of the text also shows how that standard is slowly disappearing."

Please keep sending your squares to the Indivisible Project.
