Indivisible: Moorpark College Art Department

I am happy to present square number 116 created by art Professor Erika Lizée's in conjunction with her Gallery Practices class at Moorpark College:

Seed of Life, ink and watercolor on paper, 2018.

This work was shown at the Moorpark College Art Gallery this past April along with the existing Indivisible Project squares.

About this work, Erica writes:  "The seed of life is a geometric design created through the repetition of seven overlapping circles. If the pattern is continued up to nineteen circles, the design grows the ancient symbol, The Flower of Life. This image has been used throughout history as a symbol of existence, creation and fertility. The inclusion of this imagery in my artwork is a way of connecting with humanity throughout time, through the universal language of geometry. I believe in the power of spreading positivity and embracing connection with each other."

Please keep sending your squares to the Indivisible Project.
