Indivisible: Moorpark College Art Students

I am pleased to present square number 112 created by art student Katlynne D. from Professor Erika Lizée's Gallery Practices class at Moorpark College:

Intertwine, inkjet print, 2018.

This work was shown at the Moorpark College Art Gallery this past April along with the existing Indivisible Project squares.

About this print, Katlynne writes: "The quote seen across the photo was taken from a conversation that was sampled from one of my favorite songs in which it discusses about humanity's higher purpose and how to reach it: the willingness to open up and collaborate with one another in order to fulfill everyone. I took this photograph because it was a moment between my younger nieces when they were at the beach and immediately locked hands as they tried to run away from the ocean's wave before it touched them. That moment made me think  of how at times of stress we bring down our "walls" and open up to each other in need.  If more of us brought down our walls to help each other or to be there for one another, everyone would be satisfied."

Please keep sending your squares to the Indivisible Project.
